Geometric shaped headbands by MirkaDesign

I love all kinds of geometric accessories. Combination of circles, hexagons, squares and so on can add really nice finish to your outfit! I found some spare leather and suede pieces so I transferred them into something eye-catchy and of course geometric!

This cute handmade geometric headband features black leather and cream suede triangles arranged in a half circle. The geometric head piece is attached to one size metal non corrosive headband and secured by a piece of leather from the inside. The headband is suitable for any occasion.

This one is made from false suede triangles and it goes well with black top or combination of black and cream or even white! 

 

And finally arrow shaped head-band made from combination of black and cream triangles attached securely to black metal headband. 

I have another idea how to use spare leather, and I will share it with you very soon! :)

Triangle print laptop sleeve for a custom order

I posted "Geometry influenced Fashion" article just yesterday and I must  thank to all of you for so many views! As geometry in Fashion succeed I decided to post some pictures of "Triangles" laptop sleeve which I made for Rebecca - an amazing stylish girl and great blogger!  

This laptop sleeve is made of my favorite fabric - colorful triangle print cotton. You could see this fabric here also.

This laptop sleeve, as well as all my laptop sleeves, is made of strong 100% cotton, lined with white fabric and padded with thin PVC foam. This one is also interfaced with thick vliseline for extra protection.

Fold over clutch YELLOW

I have added new items to my shop. This is one of them. Hope you like it! 

The bag is just perfect balance between useful and stylish accessory that you can carry everywhere! You can carry it during the day to transport your essentials, or team it with a glamorous outfit at night! 

This carry all pouch is made from yellow water resistant fabric, the interior is lined with blue/gray durable cotton fabric. This fabric features beautiful white blowball :)

Knitting organizers

When I started selling on Etsy my product range was quite small. Well, it's still small, but it was even smaller at the time! :) My very first item I listed and sold was notebook cover, then laptop cover (sleeve) and then padded bag,.. Since then I have been sewing covers for almost everything! I enjoy doing various covers, cases, bags, ... because they keep things we like protected and safe! 

These cases below are knitting organizers! They are designed to store all your knitting needles (circular, double pointed and straight), hooks & cords as well as extra goodies. 

The fabric I used for this knitting case / organizer is hand-dyed by my friend Beata, who has also Etsy shop where she sells beautiful hand dyed yarns.

The knitting organizers have approx. 30 pockets, the smallest is 1 inch wide, the biggest is 4 inch wide. There is a flap at the top to keep needles in place. 

The above is a knitting case set made for Maire - The first case is just like the one above it and the other one keeps also wool and bigger needles inside while smaller needles are in outside pockets ready to be used anytime. The organizers are made from beautiful Amy Butler fabric.

The light brown fabric with flower print below gives the organizer a vintage feeling. It is one of my favorite!

 

 

I have done 3 cases from fabric below which were sold immediately. It closes with Velcro dots, not with strings. I personally think strings are better as the case thickness vary when it's full or half full and it might be a problem to close the organizer exactly where the Velcro spot is.

 

 

This was my very first knitting organizer! It is made from durable cotton fabric, it has secret pockets and it also closes with strings. 

I do not have any knitting organizers available for purchase in my shop at the moment. I usually sew them on request. if you are interested please contact me via Etsy or e-mail me!

IVORY fold over clutch

The latest MirkaDesign* bag is called IVORY. As you know Ivory is a soft neutral colour that isn't quite white and has some of the earthiness of light browns. Ivory represents quiet, pleasantness with a touch of lustre.

I think IVORY is a very convenient and calming colour which you can combine with almost everything. 

What makes this clutch different from others is material. It's made from durable felt backed vinyl, it's beautifully structured, waterproof and very light! 

It closes with a zip in same tone. The bag is fully lined with 100% cotton.

Christmas decoration ideas

Here are some ideas how  you can decorate your home this Christmas. You can either do it yourself or buy some of these items in my shop

1. Christmas fabric hearts - This cute hearts will bring pleasure and color to your home at Christmas. It is made from red & white cotton fabric and it’s stuffed with soft polyester. 

It's  great for hanging on a door knob, cabinet door or shelf hook!

2.  Christmas bone for your dog - well, this cute bone can't be decoration for long time as your pet might enjoy playing with it :) Each bone is made from durable cotton and polyester filling. It measures approx. 7 inches = 18 cm.

3. Ho Ho Ho! - Fabric letter ornaments - Create various letters /words (such as Christmas, home, Santa, Love, or members of your family) and place them on a table, window or hang them on a wall or door knob! 

4. Christmas ginger biscuits - I baked these last year and I will definitely do some this year too! If you have kids let them decorate these biscuits. They will love it!! 

You can find various recipes online. 

Tip: Bake these in first/second week of December and leave them in biscuit box for two weeks. They will get softer and taste better!!
