DIY project: Chalkboard painted jars - get your kitchen organized!

I decided I wanted some  little jars to keep spices and all various ingredients in my kitchen drawer. I thought a chalkboard paint would be great on glass jars as it is the simplest way how to easily label and relabel the jars. 

It was simple DIY project and everyone can do it in few minutes.

DIY TUTORIAL: 

1. Tape around the edges of where you’re going to put the chalkboard paint. Use masking tape or something similar. I used an ordinary office tape and it took me a long while to remove remaining glue from jars.

2. Stand the jars up and smooth some paint onto the surface.  Paint them from side to side  and try to do it in one or two strokes. Paint top of the lids as well. 

3. Let the paint dry for about 30 minutes. If necessary apply another coat. Leave the jars aside for 1-2 days. Then remove the tape and enjoy writing on them with a chalk!!

ZIP IT !! ... (Large leather carry-all bag)

I made a leather zippered pouch for Viki few days ago and as I promised I am back with a similar bag that you can also find in my shop . This chic artificial leather envelope clutch is just perfect balance between useful and stylish accessory that you can carry everywhere! Carry it during the day to transport your essentials, or team it with a glamorous outfit at night! 

This carry all pouch is made from an artificial black leather, the interior is lined with black durable cotton fabric. The bag features metal gun pyramid studs on the front side, closes with a zip.

Black artificial leather clutch with pyramid studs

This clutch was made for Viki - an amazing food & lifestyle blogger (check out her great blog here). She was looking for a clutch in a kind of punky style but also decent and practical. She wanted a small clutch which would also be used as a laptop sleeve..  

The clutch measures approx. 35 x 25 cm and it closes with a zip. I used black artificial leather, black heavy cotton fabric for lining, metal zip and metal gun pyramid studs. All material is available online, mostly on e-bay. 

I am planning to do few similar clutches in following days. I will keep you updated!

Fabric Origami Bracelet - my new craft project!*

I have always been fascinated in origami craft, especially origami in fashion. It is great to get an amazing object after following a few paper folding steps. Some origami are very easy to follow, some are not that easy but it is always fun  to create something from small piece of paper. This time I tried to transform this amazing paper craft to a little bit different level. I used a fabric instead of paper. It took me a while to find good fabric which doesn't gape too much and keeps folds together. And I think I found it! Here is the result!

A Purse - gift for my mum (FEEDBACK NEEDED!)

My parents came to visit me in Ireland few weeks ago. We had a great time together, enjoying beautiful weather and amazing Irish countryside. As you might remember I did a project few months ago – PURSE which became my favorite accessory for all occasions. When I showed this purse to my mum during her visit, she liked the design and mainly the idea that I can carry EVERYTHING in this bag: money, keys, phone, credit cards, business cards, coupons, bills, lipstick and much more!

So I have decided to make very similar purse for herself. I used different fabric, but same design. I made the pockets smaller as the pockets on the first one are a little bit loose. 

The purse has 12 pockets in total:  9 pockets for credit cards/business cards, 1 pocket for bank notes, 1 zipped pocket for your coins and 1 extra large pocket for your phone, keys, lipstick, …It closes with black elastic band which hold the purse tight.

New extra large clutch

This new bag “CAPITALS” is extra large clutch made by me for an amazing blogger Tonbogirl. 

It is made from 100% cotton, fully lined in black cotton, interfaced with thin 3mm PVC foam. The clutch closes with two magnetic snaps. It has the same design & style as "wood structure" bag what I created just 2 weeks ago. For more details click here.

My new project_An envelope handbag ”London, Paris, Tokyo"

An envelope handbag is the hottest accessory this season. It is popular for night but some styles created in a large version can be used for day, to carry the items that you need. I created a day stylish envelope bag (clutch) that can add glam to any outfit, without needing the evening attire.

These bags are so light, comfortable for your hand, and also they look nice. Not only that, but they are so convenient for many social occasions you are attending. This is why so many women just love en envelope bag. It is not just that they must have, but it is something that they enjoy carrying. The bag itself measures approx. 14" in width by 16" in height. The bag's interior & exterior is made of cotton as usually! Both front and back of this bag is filled with 3mm foam padding to give it a nice structure and shape. It closes with hot pink or parrot blue zipper.
